Whether you are an experienced rider looking for a challenging ride, someone new to the sport who is just learning the ropes, or a rider who enjoys the social side of events, this ride has no traffic lights and minimal traffic and is a great practice ride before “Around the Bay in a day”.

Leaving from the fabulous Blue Pyrenees Estate vineyard, located seven kilometres north west of Avoca the route will be the Audax “Pyrenees Magic” which circles around the undulating foothills of the Pyrenees Ranges. The event goes through the townships of Moonambel, Landsborough, Elmhurst, Amphitheatre and Avoca. The total distance is 113 kilometres with a vertical rise of approximately 1,500 metres.

For cyclists wishing a shorter distance, the ride to Moonambel with a stop for coffee returning to Blue Pyrenees Estate is a comfortable 46 kilometres on flat roads.

For the longer ride there will be a food stop in Landsborough – 50 kilometres and another drink stop at Elmhurst – 75 kilometres. A free sausage sizzle and drink awaits at the rotary barbecue at the end of the ride and meals can be purchased at the onsite Cafe Blue.
