Antelodic –
Antelodic is an instrumental trio formed in 2012 by members of Melbourne contemporary jazz ensemble “cleverhorse”. Led by Robbie Melville, the ensemble features the unique combination of guitar with two saxophones – Gideon Brazil on tenor and Monty Mackenzie on alto.
Antelodic began as an experiment in which the saxophones worked as a rhythm section whilst the guitar became the melodic voice. Their unique sound spans chamber jazz and contemporary classical. Antelodic perform as part of their national tour promoting the release of their latest release – “To Iceland, To Iceland”
